Dottie,
The classic Windoze fix for anything the techs can't solve:

Shut the 'pooter down.
Turn off the power supply.
Wait at least one minute.
Turn power on.
Restart machine.

Otherwise, take two aspirin and call me in the morning.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

If the "turn it of then on again" doesn't work, the next thing to try is to delete all the messages that are stuck in the outbox.
If one message gets stuck, all the others will sit in the queue waiting for their turn.

It is often your antivirus program that causes problems so it might need disabling while the outbox clears but I would try deleting the outbox queue first.

To check that it's not a problem with your ISP, you can send a test message.
To do that, depending on the version of Outlook. It goes something like Tools/E-Mail Accounts/View or change and existing account/ test settings.

Thanks Jim, seems there is a call to Telstra to sort it out. Deleted the 4 in outbox checked what you suggested but still they won't go. Tried to send another just now but alas it too will not budge so G can make the call later he seems to understand them better ;)

Sign up for a Gmail account and see if you can send them via Gmail.

And get rid of I.Explorer and use a better system like Firefox for general stuff and Gmail for the Emails.

I reckon you have used your quota of emails Dot!
Sounds to me like your email settings have stuffed up.
Not at home so cannot check what they should be

the nice man from Telstra aka Carlos reckons that the email I have in the outbox at the mo may have a virus in it but I had the prob before I got the email I am trying to forward on. He couldn't delete it either and it keeps saying it is being sent :?
