Just set up at Lyrup SA for a couple of nights. Beside the Murray at the ferry crossing. Four power points.

40 mile sunset (1) - Copy (640x480).jpg
Still at 40 Mile Beach WA (just south of Karratha), the caretaker & a Canadian couple put on a Happy Hour with live music the other night......lovin' this place will stay a while. Here's another of the glorious sunsets.

Hi, all.

Where am I now?
Well I know there’s a brand new dump point in the free camp, the soil? is red and hard, the sign in the shower says ”for hot water turn on the cold tap, there’s no cold water” and there’s enough diggers here for an Anzac parade. Oh, and a bloke came around yesterday on a pushbike to announce indoor bowls on at the local hall. There’s no pub and no cops, which probably balances out nicely.

BTW the lunchtime burger at Nindigully is better than the all day 140mm monster in Cunamulla. Cheaper, can be held in one hand so as not to impede one's quaffing and you get great chips as well. The Cunamulla serving has to be split into three layers before eating it with a knife and fork, and no chips at all.
See you on the back roads,
shonky et al.
