My wife Margaret is an IT tech for CSC, she was transferred there when BHP IT was sold off to them. In the early days BHP used Apple computers, they switched to PC's when a lack of compatible software and lack of access was becoming a major issue. At first there was a lot of chat about a step backwards, till they realised just how easy PC's were to work with for the techo side, they have never looked back since. that was at least 14 yrs ago, so I doubt the "Luddite" term fits PC users.... those who are easily lead to spend excess $$ for an inferior product by spin doctors and clever marketing will defend their choice to the bitter end, no one likes to admit they have been conned do theyRussellB[SA] wrote:Those that be jealous of those with a Fruit Machine simply refuse to see the light and shall be called Luddites.T1 Terry wrote:If your computer can't handle the 64bit processing capability required for Win7 or higher... if you own a fruit machine and have finally come to your senses![]()
So endeth the lesson.
It's blowing easterly and has been for quite sometime now. Must be why all the caravans are heading west and south - to take advantage of the free tail wind.Dot wrote:... Bit like which ever the wind blows...

Brad the road into the Bungle Bungles is for the 4x4 but the best way is the fixed wing flight over them, better than the chopper flight so I am told by my friends son (a pilot). That is on my bucket list. (no not the pilot)generdawg wrote:If there are five vans here there are fifty - and that is an understatement!dapope wrote:... You going on to the bungles?
We want to go where ever, but have had our fill of gravel after the Rio Tinto/Karijini trip.
We've just learnt that we missed a bitumen road to the best ever gorge at Geiki gorge. Hope I spelled that correctly.
Yes, if we should go to the bungles, then by all means if it is not gravel and especially RED corrugated gravel, then we want to include that.
dawg in A'van (who has hijacked more threads than anybody else on this forum - but not intentionally)
ps seen at Mary Pool today; one feral park pig and two wild freshies sunning themselves on the mud flat.
You be the judge.Dot wrote: Was the feral pig a human ...
