OK, must be Chatsworth? That's pretty close to where I bought my motorhome from.
Where are you now Shonky?

Hi, all.
BruceS - belated congratulations to you.
We're currently at Goomeri Showgrounds, looking to visit Kinbombi Falls. Goomeri's quite a pleasant spot and we're in no hurry at all.

Shonky, Kinbombi Falls is a lovely spot. We have stayed there a couple of times. Goomeri is a top little town, isn't it?

Re: Craft disease
Shonky, Did you go to the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival a few weeks ago? We wondered if it was any good? We had hoped to get there but something came up.
Cheers

Hi, all.
Supersparky - we missed the festival, mainly because we were having some brief but valuable discussions with fellow campers.
Seriously, we were heading for the falls, but after spending time at Goomeri stocking up on the various necessities it was late, and we elected to stay in the local show grounds for the night.Three days ago. Tomorrow we'll be heading for Kingaroy, as one of our John Guest fittings has had it and needs replacing badly, and if anyone can replace it badly I can. It's in one of those spots where you can touch it but not see it. Must have been poised in midair as a datum mark and the motorhome built around it.

Re: Craft disease
BUT Shonky!
Where is the details for Chatsworth and Goomeri showgrounds for those that have not been there.
I put them in my spreadsheet but I like to have a description for later checking before I consider an area for spending my money and I suspect many others are the same.
Regards
Brian.

Hi, all.
Brian - they're both in Wikicamps. Chatsworth is an attractive free rest area and a three day stay is not uncommon. Goomeri Showgrounds are 200 meters from town, have fresh water, showers, dump point etc, charge $10 unpowered and$15 powered. Pets are welcome. Note the show grounds are manned by volunteers and IMHO they do an excellent job.

Hi, all.
Should you be stocking up at the butcher's you're far better off, if travelling South towards Goomeri, doing it at Kilkivan. While I personally haven't done so, it has to be a better option.
Methinks one could enter politics after writing the above.

Hmm, we bought meat at the Goomeri butcher when we were there for the Pumpkin Festival a couple of years ago. We had no complaints.
