Which Brand Memory Stick?

Post by Dot »

Which brands of those Memory sticks do you "Oh wise ones" recommend for those dash cams?

Dot do you have any more details?
Is it a USB plug in socket or a card slot?
I'd assume it's an SD slot?
Is there a limit to what size it will accept?
Agree with Sandisk although there are apparently a lot of counterfeit ones on the market. (branded Sandisk)
Most phones now take the mini-SD card.
So if your dash cam takes the standard SD card you can buy something like this....
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-Genu ... 3a71e5449b
...and you can use the card in both.
Most laptops (Toshiba anyway....) have the standard SD slot too.

My money is on the mini. Now you have to explain all about adapters, Bruce.

OK.... some info from the specs of your camera...
MicroSD Card Only (min 8GB)
Memory Expansion Expansion: MicroSD (max 32GB)

So it's a micro SD.
That link I posted before shows the micro card and an adaptor included.
The micro card is ABOUT 15mm by 10mm.
It can slide inside the adaptor which is an EXACT copy of the normal SD card. (32mm by 24mm)
The normal SD card (or the adaptor with a micro inserted) can be used in any camera or laptop slot that has the SD sized slot.
Most if not all Toshiba laptops now have the SD slot on the front edge.
I have 2 camera's that take the 'normal' SD card. ( An Olympus VR-310 & a Nikon Coolpix S3100)
I can use the micro cards in the adaptor & insert that in the cameras.
I'll look up your laptop specs.
