It occurred to me that once you get past this storm there will be no more rain to worry about heading north this time of the year. You're more likely to be bothered by the freezing draught that will come in from the minus degree temperatures overnight.

(I had to check the spelling of the word "draught". The computer didn't recognize it! I don't know why I doubted myself.)

Hi Steve in answer to your questions NO this is not the first trip up the centre it is our 4th trip up the centre so well aware off the area and weather. Love this part of the world,. We made it to Alice today mainly free camping all the way except we called into Port Pirie for a look around have been past so many times decided it was time to have a look. Our nights have been very cold thank god for our gas heater. We are here for about week for a bit of R & R before moving further up the road. We have our finger crossed that from now on we have no more rain.

Oh no you don't, you are a valued member of the Tele Tubbies Club, no deserters allowed. My mate Sue in NZ is TT1, I am TT2, my sister is TT3 and you may be TT4 if you so desire. Very exclusive club indeed ;) ;)

There is a very big difference (physically) between you as a Tele Tubbie and me as a Michelin Man :( I must be a double tele tubby!!!
Nope that photo has done it for me!!! No wonder I don't have any full length mirrors at my house!!!

Its been awhile but not very much internet over the past few weeks, in Katherine now for a few days to stock up and head out to our farm job for the month of August had a meet and greet yesterday and all I can say is this is no ordinary Cattle Station its more like a 5 star resort. Will try and post a few photo's while there. We have been travelling well just taking our time found a few great camping spots on the way.. Finally found the warm weather its has only taken 4 weeks. Will try and post photo's tomorrow off to bed now so over poor internet or no internet you have to feel for all who live in NT..

Cheers Ros.
