Have a problem with my inverter that I advised the vendors AGR Machinery (E bay) where told about straight away but due to circumstances (vehicle broke down) was inaccessible for 12 months. They now refuse to support the warranty even though the problem appears to be basically shoddy construction. The battery selector was not soldered in or at least not with any where close to a reasonable amount of solder and had come loose. On inspection the second set of legs has now snapped of cleanly and I need to buy a replacement. This is proving difficult. I can get one that sits flat on the board but as the board is mounted vertically it needs one that sits at 90 degrees to it. I eventually found one for $4 in the US but freight is nearly $40, not good. This is the part and I was wondering if anyone out there has any ideas on where to get one. Have searched the usual places and been to Jaycar but don't have this particular style.

Maybe try going to Consumer on the premise that the item has not performed to the standards expected/specified.

Write it off, and get another inverter from another supplier.

Re: Any idea where to source?
Mount the selector you can get locally some where clear of the spot the original one was mounted so there is enough room to run a ribbon cable between the switch and the board. Simply solder wires between the switch ad their corresponding position on the board.
AGR machinery seem to have a lot of faulty gear and a very poor attitude when it comes to after sales service, I'm left wondering it they perhaps buy up the rejects/return for repair items and repair them in house, then resell them.

I won't buy anything from AGR machinery had to many hassles with them over warranty stuff, so have some of my friends. Bite the bullet and buy a slightly dearer one from a better supplier.
