Who has one of these and how much power do they use?

Re: 12v Electric Blanket
We do.
Uses 5a, no adjustable settings. Designed as an electric throw.
Ours is back in the cupboard. The 240v one draws 100w max, we rarely use it past 2 out of 9 settings.
Has a timer too. Its also a throw and is on the bed under the doona
Saw ours in coles at less than i paid on ebay

Dot you might need to turn down your wants & desires until G-man puts some he-man batteries on board.
I'd hate to see you banned from 40-mile beach for running a genny...........

Re: 12v Electric Blanket
Mine is 50 watts and I run it through an inverter as it is a regular ac one. It is also the single bed size which is OK on a double bed. Nothing wrong with having a hot spot.
Even left on full for 8 hours that works out to about 40 Ah from batteries.
They are the bees knees for keeping warm when it gets cold enough.

Re: 12v Electric Blanket
Did U see the throw rug Oma and Bruce had.
Phyl showed ( or did she tell her ? ) Kay ours and she got one for the van.
Runs off 240V but can be powered by a 150W inverter
$40 from Big W and some Coles stores.
Light weight and easily stored away when not needed.
If you just want a foot warmer get a heated pet bed.
They run off 12V ( via a reducer supply ) and draw about 5A on full load.
I saw some nice big one in Reject ( shop ) recently but when I went back they were all gone.
I'm just turning our rug on the bed on now , but we're home ( damn it )
