Unable to watch sd card on comp

Post by Dot »

OK got a Navman Mivue388 cam corder, got a 23gb micro sd card and have it running ok BUT how do you watch the days events on your computer. Put the card into the comp directly plus then tried with the patch lead = 0. Chuck has been able to watch it on his computer but not on ours. Any suggestions please. :? :? :?

Normally the puta would see the SD card as a disk say D: drive, using file explorer you should be able to navigate the SD card starting with directory on the ROOT called DCIM, the others below it of various names to find the files etc. which should be time and date stamped of type AVI or MPEG etc, click on one of these to see!

Dot, I have had that problem as well. Usually it is operator error. I have found that the best way to not have the problem is to remove the card correctly. On the task bar down near the time in the bottom RH corner is a little triangle, click that and another box magically appears. You will see a green tick over a USB plug. Hover the mouse over that and you will see it is the safely remove hardware ...... icon. Click that and you will see another line that says Eject SD card. Click that. If you don't do that in the correct sequence the PC has a hissy fit and then won't see SD cards until the PC is turned off and then restarted. When you restart it should then see your card correctly.
See how you go when you warm up a bit.
Cheers

Is the SD card a HC or XC one?
An older laptop might not read the XC version. I know both my cameras can't use them.
Chuck's laptop is pretty new I think?
