My wife spotted these grubs emptying the grey water at the Kalgoorlie 24 hr rest area this morning. Photo has gone to shire with a request for action. Its also up on social media.
I have blanked the rego number

I ask first, but most caravan parks are quite happy to have good grey water on their grounds - it is not as if there is anything bad about it - it hasn't been stored to go fetid. I don't think the world will end.
It might not be a good look on bare earth but the most that can happen is that a blade of grass might grow.

How hard would have been to put the hose on and send the grey water over onto the grassed area or the trees right beside them. That is simply not on and with attitudes like that we will loose all our free stop overs. If the grey water isn't a problem, why don't they drain it under neither their van when they first pull up, not wait till they are about to leave. if the sign says Self Contained then dropping it on the ground is about as poor as you can get, if it was a dog you'd rub their nose in it
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

The site is specifically signed as self contained.
The area it was dumped on is the compacted hardstand, and theres plenty of those 3 star spike thingos, thanks to the grey water.
One of the shire councillors has stated that they will be following through, and I suspect there will be closer checking as the shire offices are 100m away
Theres public toilets that could be used to dispose of grey water buckets I guess. Its a bit waterlogged up that way at the moment

I agree these grubs need a fine or two and to be named and shamed, as I prev said we stopped at 2 beaut places both had dump points and loos and a big sign that asked that grey water be contained and no camp fires be lit but the usual OLD yobbos did exactly the opposite. At the Mt Robinson stop a woman was scouring the ground for sticks for the fire and it was pointed out about the request for no fires but her attitude was "well others have had fires" = twat Then at the West Peawah Rest area same sign same attitude, next to us had their showers and let their soapy slush right at our door and also camp fires were alight.. Time the goody goody two shoes caravan lobby got tough on their members and gave them a bollicking and caravan makers made them all with holding tanks. I agree that IF the parks say ok to letting your water go on the grass etc then go for it but NOT when requested not to.. Just rude and ignorant. Just sayin
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Martins done the right thing if more do it maybe the message will get across. Good job they,re not here here...But i,m not getting into aussie stuff...
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt.... If at first you dont succeed, Skydiving is not for you.

Lets be fair here Dot, all motorhomes don't do the right thing either, as many of them don't have grey water tanks fitted.
It is both caravans and motorhomes that are guilty.

I'm very wary about where I crawl under the MH to carry out any maintenance because of this type of thing. Even worse if I have no option due to a breakdown.
Yes I agree Neil and I am not going to go into them v us crap but from what I have seen on this trip alone it has been caravanners all the way with the grey water issues. I will report on the grubby motorhomers as well when I see it first hand be assured of that.

for the cost of a length of garden hose, spray handle and a $60 macerator pump, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-Macerato ... 35becdbfef
why don't folks just pull over somewhere quiet where the ground is thirsty and water the grass?
Seems we could be doing some good here too
