Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Might have been cheaper to just pay Bob to tow your from place to place. Something doesn't sound quite right, if the pump fails the engine just stops, no limp home mode, that is an ECU feature. Hopefully this mechanic can do the correct diagnosis and get you up and running. The old kero burners may be a bit slow but they take a long while to die, the poor old Mazda made it to Brisbane and back for week end dash running on 3 cyls..... she does sound a bit sad now though, but still starts and drives.
Fingers crossed for you Keith, can't chuck a swag in the back of the Roller can you, should be enough room in the boot to camp out in style
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
Those who struggle to become a leader, rarely know a clear direction forward for anyone but themselves
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I thought we would catch up at last at 40 Mile Beach, only 600km away, planing on being there Thursday or Friday.
Hope Dot put a reserved sign in your spot for me.

"tanks" here--- Yes Shirley, it is the same Sprinter. I have done the Gold Coast to Perth trip and also I went around Australia last year, plus about 30 trips from Wyalkatchem to Perth (500 km round trip) and Jeff had a trip to Exmouth and back since the last major problem on the Gold Coast; so the Sprinter does not owe me anything.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

"tanks" here---- I was thinking of taking one of the Rollers [the "Silver Spur" for comfort] for a long run so as I could be at 40 Mile Beach for Dot's GREAT SHAVE on 15th August.
The problem is that I can't get the Mechanic in Perth [Paul] to attend me until Thursday or Friday--he is away on a course--and then we shall know what it is going to take to repair the EDC thing. Once Paul does the diagnosis he will know what parts are required to get the motor running again, then it will be all go to get me back to 40 Mile and my Forum Family.
I am thinking that it will be a 2 day drive for me from Perth to 40 Mile in the Sprinter without any sight-seeing and allowing for a stop every 2 hours for "Russell" to mark his route and me to stretch my old bones. I left the trailer and a lot of other unnecessary stuff at the campsite and the Spur does not have a tow-bar, so I would have to drive the Spur back to Perth and then go back to 40 Mile for the trailer when the Sprinter is back on the road.
Keith.
