Neil, I think it has been improved upon a bit but everyone coming in today for unpowered sites was put over on the amenities side as the lake side is rather soft. We actually had a hail storm in the middle of the concert. Fortunately only small stuff though.Paramountcruiser wrote:Does it still get very sloppy there following heavy rain. Had about 75mm of rain overnight in Maryborough so it is rather damp around here also.

Re: Where Are You Now??
Set up at daughter's at Bellata-12 degrees here to-day but not a lot of rain. Here until 10th Sept looking after 2 high school granddaughters & their 10 year old brother while Mum & Dad go to USA for an Agronomy tour plus pleasure. They are 45k out of Narrabri so that means after school activities 3 afternoons, weekend sports, as well as 5k to school bus. Will need a holiday after this.

Re: Where Are You Now??
Hi all. We are back in Australia (read Qld) after 4 mths in the never never (read NT) I call it never never as it is never going to get any better. having said that we saw some of the most awesome scenery I have ever seen in the East McDonnell Ranges and if it is not one of the best kept secrets in this great land I want to know about the other ones. The weather was -3/-4 some mornings but glorious days when the Southerlies didn't blow. Currently at Camooweal for the annual Drovers Festival along with lots and lots of others. CP s are chockers. about 70 rigs down at the billabong and many still arriving so should be a real outback wingding weekend.
Cheers.

Had a really nice home made pie at the Camooweal Pub about a year ago!
If they've got any left I wouldn't eat them - they'd be stale by now.
