Samsung Galaxy S4

Post by baysidetas »

My very old LG unsmart phone has passed its use by date and due to be dumped into the bin.

I have been looking at Samsung Galaxy S4 on evil bay but there seems to be many different models.

Can someone give me some guidance please.

My iPhone 4 (cracked screen, camera U/S) cost me $50 and a replacement screen for $65.
Non-functioning camera was fixed with a free software update!

Just a smart phone with lots of apps available.

We'll be looking for a similar opportunity on EvilBay and the Eucalypt site.

This may have you rethinking the whole thing http://www.businessspectator.com.au/art ... ly&modapt= all the goodies from the best on the market, plus power and capabilities beyond the current crop, all for US$299. the article is worth the read, you may want to get an apple while you read it, but lke this new comer, the apple will be eaten very quickly ;)

I would skip the ebay ones. Some of them are dodgy imports, some of them have issues and some of them have been forcibly rehomed. Better to buy a new one from a dealer. There are various models, and you can buy outright.

Especially since you need an invite to be able to purchase (taken from under the "How to buy" heading);

"1. To buy the OnePlus One, you will need to get an invite through one of the following methods:..."

This is an invite from a friend who has purchased or a promotional company invite.

Like to see the fruitier surviving on that. lol

Stick to your guns and buy something that works, like the Samsung. Alternatively kogan sell a great looking phone that has all you need for $190.

http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/agora-50-hd ... martphone/

I have had the s3 for a couple of years and it has been faultless. I also like that it has an external aerial jack. Not many smart phones do including the fruitier ones.

Also you can buy a 5 year warranty through kogan.

Sharyn has a Samsung S4 Active bought from Kogan 6 months ago for $399.
Says she wouldn't have anything Apple, however my old iPhone 4 picks up signal when the S4 can't and she is always using it.
The S4 Active and the S5 are waterproof.

you can plug an external aerial into the Samsung. you can't do that with the Apple.
