Lithium Batteries, who has them?

Post by T1 Terry »

I've been reading, over the shoulder on another forum, a rather fully thread with some rather comical "knowledge" from those that claim to know about lithium batteries.... and I thought they were the ones that didn't want a jokes thread
So, I thought I'd better attempt to dispel some of the nonsense that's been posted on there for those who have bought lithium batteries but are not members of the private lithium forum.
So, first off, who has changed over to lithium batteries?

We've been running 200Ah in the van and 100Ah in the LC seamlessly for 18 months now. Camped in one spot off power for 14 weeks without ever running the genny. Not bad considering we run a 230l compressor fridge, hair dryer, coffee machine etc. Now we have bought a new (second hand) van with AGMs and have to start the whole process over again. :(

The thread has only been going for 3 1/2hrs so I'll wait till this evening till I start offering guidance for anyone who has bought a lithium set up but doesn't have the benefit of being a member of the now closed to new membership private forum. So far I'd be preaching to the converted so to speak

Terry,
My battery is on its way to me. After researching for months I am still learning the finer details. Looking forward to having Lithiums for the Christmas break.
