I think leave things as they are.

Luke 5:36 is as true now as was then.
Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

Would certainly disappear if this was joined with the other forum, don't have any time for that forum or many on it. Can't stand know it all who realy know nothing but their ego head trips and that forum is full of them
I was told and after thinking about it agree, the only type of Rv or MH club which would work in this day and age, would be where it was all conducted on line and everyone had a say and vote on every decision they wanted to be involved with.
Had a chat with a musician bloke on the road last year, who was once a CMCA member and told me about that approach. Said when he suggested it on the old CMCA forum, the reaction was not nice from the board, or many of their hangers on. Which prompted him to leave.
Think about it, CMCA is based in Queensland, everything happens in Queensland and everyone else is left out. It's not a national representative club, but a Queensland based corporation. Annual meetings are held in Queensland which means most members miss out, other than those from mostly Queensland and NSW.

As has been said, we Caravanners who are not, nor ever will be, CMCA members, would be left out in the cold.

Slowhand, you need to check your facts, NHQ of CMCA is in Newcastle, NSW.slowhand wrote: Think about it, CMCA is based in Queensland, everything happens in Queensland and everyone else is left out. You're right of course George and I'm guessing more than 50% (more like 75%?) come from either NSW or Qld and it's just natural that people from other states do feel a little left out at times. (& NZ Norman!)
Having said that I must admit that the rotation system for holding the two annual get togethers does satisfy a lot of those worries.
But back to the issue onhand which is TOTALLY about this forum amalgamating with Rodney's/Barry's forum..............
Very unlikely in any fashion..........
This forum is deliberately and specifically for the enjoyment of ANY type of vehicle. I couldn't care less if it's a tent on the back of a pushbike!!!
