For 6 years I've been travelling I have never been caught out with time zones, until Today.

I crossed the border from Victoria to SA and did not do the usual clock/watch time change...we didn't want to repeat a half hour anyway. Alas, it does finally catch up. I was wondering why it was staying light into the night, and why we seemed to be the first to bed. Watching TV on satellite and leaving that set for Victoria compounded the situation. Then, we had an appointment. That always requires both parties to be on the same time zone or understand the time difference. Lesson learnt.

I carry several mind prompters, like the oversize peg on the steering wheel means the aerial is up, if the aerial were down the peg would be on the aerial winder. I may now need a prompt to ensure I change the clocks when I cross State boundaries.

Its funny but most time I don't know what day it is some times even what month, maybe I drink to much?

Couple of years ago Travelling from WA to SA stayed overnight on the SA side of Border Village by the water.

Have my phone set up to run on Network Time, Made my calls during "Telstra my hour" between 6 and 7pm, however at the time, Border Village Telstra must use the Kalgoolie Exchange with Kal Time so my calls were not in " My Hour" and I was charged the appropriate amount OR... My phone did not automatically pick up the changed Network time (probably the more likely reason).

However a Call To Telstra resulted in a credit, so all happy.

Now when I drive across borders I turn off the phone and turn on again to ensure the correct timezone.

Watches and/ or clocks are the problem here. Just use your phone as a timepiece and the digital overlords will take care of it all for you.
There is talk of adjustment of 2 minutes per day for the entire month that daylight savings change, thus you wouldn't even notice the time had been modified.
So far, there is upheld dis-agreement from the likes of dairy-farmers and clock-makers.

Way back before credit cards were the norm and banks opened on Sat, I had to make a high tailed run from Warren Gorge near Quorn back to my credit union in Wollongong before close of trade Friday afternoon of a long week end. I made it with mins to spare.... or so I thought, forgot all about the clock going back 30 mins in SA so I spent the whole long week end broke waiting for the credit union to open on the Tuesday morning
