Significant Date No1

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

This was the day I started my apprenticeship with the NSWGR - a "job for life" - until they closed down the depot that I worked in in 1994.

Which depot was that Jim? I thought the NSWGR just moved people to another site rather than giving the golden handshake. You are far better out of there these days, every part of the original govt railway has a different name and they all know their job may not be there tomorrow

I had a significant date - once.

Why it was significant eludes me... :?

There appears to be two "significant date" threads - can they be combined?
