IE problem

Post by Jim »

Is anyone having a problem with IE today? Each time I go into it and connect to a site it just closes down. When I go back to it I get the message that IE didn't close down the last session correctly and do I want to restore it.

Jim we'd need to know if it on Windows 7 or 8 etc.
A lot of files used in IE are also common in Windows Explorer.
Google has many solutions but it depends on your operating system.
I gave up some time ago ........ went to firefox.

Did that and it came up clean. Perhaps reinstalling might work?

I would give up on IE and just use Chrome or Firefox.
IE is not very popular at all now with only about 8% of internet users using IE

To use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature from Control Panel, follow these steps:

Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.
Click Start
Start button
, and then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, open Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK two times.
Close Internet Explorer, and then reopen it. The changes take effect the next time that you open Internet Explorer.

I gave up trying to get IE working properly on Windows 8 and went to Chrome. It seems to work a lot better for me now. The main problem that I had was posting pics.
Good luck.

Strange, but as mysterious as it began it has now mysteriously "rectified" itself.
Thanks for the input.
