Re: Forum news from cmca book
Jim, the sentiments of people on this site are not generally against the CMCA but against the offensive forum know all's who treated other forumites with contempt. It was hardly a surprise that CMCA closed the forum and it was not the doing of people on this forum - hence the fact that this forum and others like it sprang up for those who value a forum and value participants who are not experts in everything (most of us). Long live the CMCA, down with those who wrecked their forum!

I have slowly come to respect that this is not really a club for caravanners, so have let my relationship with them lapse. I do appreciate the dump points etc and acknowledge their existence whenever I can. But no way would I re-join them unless I had a "complying vehicle" . In the meantime, I am in a caravan club.!

I would really like to know as I haven't come across one yet. I may be mistaken - so, chuck, if you know of them please let me know.Chuck wrote:Jim wrote:Can you tell me what caravan club/s (if any) are helping the travelling public with things like dump point, water, etc.?dream4red wrote:Jim, yes of late The Wanderer has been trying to make caravaners feel more wanted, (a bit too late for me) but they have no voting rights and their opinions are rarely wanted, they are only allowed to attend a certain number of the rally things, but they are not campervans and it is a campervan club. Re: Forum news from cmca book
Wasn't there a some group call something like Motouring Jim? I'm sure the spelling different to CMCA so unless they are using 2 different names then that would be one group wouldn't it?
As for what group has the biggest clout, that one's easy, the Caravan Park lobby group, they are far more organised and speak with a well trained and well organised voice..... but I guess you didn't want to hear that eh

No, what I want to hear is where are the dump points situated that the caravan lobbies have been successful in sponsoring?T1 Terry wrote:Wasn't there a some group call something like Motouring Jim? Re: Forum news from cmca book
I think the only club trying to install dump points, promote RV friendly towns & free or low cost camps is the CMCA, as I have already said there are many people within the club volunteering & working to better members' lifes out there on the road & deserve thanks for their efforts.

I agree with what you say - but sadly it appears to be only the CMCA doing the hard graft!Shirley wrote:I think the only club trying to install dump points, promote RV friendly towns & free or low cost camps is the CMCA, as I have already said there are many people within the club volunteering & working to better members' lifes out there on the road & deserve thanks for their efforts.
