Both good, the 700s is the latest version but the 600s works very well and at the moment is my preferred choice. The 600s comes with a hand book, the 700s is all on line so you need to download a manual, the scrolling screen for the program menu is in sort of English, but you still end up referring to the downloaded main to see what item xxx really is as some of the letters just come out as C (but digital shaped) on the scrolling menu. The 600s is all in Dutch I think it is, so you use the book to find out what each menu item means anyway so......

Wayne the bell is the alarm "signal" but don't ask me how to get rid of it as I haven't worked it out either.
Mine came on after I disconnected everything to install a new solar regulator.

Wayne,

Pressing and holding both SETUP and SELECT buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds will restore the factory settings.

If you have the auto resync set correctly, the next time you get the battery fully charged the alarms will reset and the SOC and time to go functions will return. If you manually resync the unit the SOC and Time to go will be incorrect until the next time you get the battery fully recharged.
