Hi George

The previous owner fitted it out with 18mm mdf and chipboard, which I have slowly replaced with ply where I have been able. The actual weight was around 11.5 ton, we were carrying a lot of gear when we first left, a lot of which we didn't use plus we were topped up with 500 litres of water. Old battery technology has been replaced saving more weight. GVM on plate is 10.5t and had to pull in to a weighbridge up near Darwin and was given the green light to proceed, in SA I have been waved passed.

Geoff's is more like an Interstate bus........... like an ex-pioneer or similar. (not a school bus)
Bernie I think most go a little further to Ardlethan. Supposed to be a lovely park there.

OOOPS!! I think I was thinking of Ariah Park.

I have no idea of the economy yet,

The diff is 5.83, and with the overdrive gear box, it does:

2490 rpm at 100kph in 6th and
1990 rpm at 80 kph

4th is brilliant, 30ks at 1500 and 60ks at 3000

I don't have a tacho ( must get one some time) but I calculated the speeds using the gear ratios (5 speed), diff ratio ( 5.28:1) and tyre circumference. At 2600rpm I get 1st-13kph, 2nd-23, 3rd-40, 4th-68, 5th-96. It would help greatly if I could get the turbo to work.
