40 mile

Post by peterf »

Roebourne Council have a foreshore management plans that for 40 mile, cleaverville beach and balla balla inlet.
I only have the plan for 40 mile, but I think you will see some changes.

When are you heading over there Shirley? there will be quite a few of the mob from here heading over the West later this year. Hope the council has done something about the sand blasting wind, what with Chuck on one side and the natures wind out the front man Oh man :)

Sorry but WA has shot its self in the foot as far as camping goes,, We for one wont be back here next year .Its to far to go just to set up camp for 28 days ... Where we are just now there used to be 60-70 camps n vans.It was hard to get a spot. now maybe 10. When they get charged 2 pl @ $22 a night or 16 if on the pen. they just dont stay..
Fools in charge is what that dose.
Big shame for the GN on the pen.

Seems many GN travellers are of the same opinion, guess they don't want tourists over there in the
West.

Didn't they go through this nonsense a few yrs back, you could only stay in caravan parks in certain areas. Then they changed their ways and opened the place up, not they are trying to milk it for all it's worth without realising the travellers are in a lot better communication with each other than the govt dept are with the travellers themselves when they come up with these fool ideas. so the next move in 12mths to 2yrs, that's how long information takes to get to govt depts. and be acted on, they will spend a fortune on promoting WA tourism.... again. They never learn and I doubt they ever will, but what will happen is clever developers will buy up areas and charge half the fees and open for as long as you want to stay. If they disguise it as a club thing and membership entitles you to these benefits they can probably skirt around the caravan park/ camping ground rules, then the govt depts will simply pay the advertising bill for these developers but not fill their new areas they wasted all the money on developing, yet another waste of state tax payers money.
