For the electrical experts

Post by RussellB[SA] »

I have two solar panels (unknown) feeding into a 12v sealed battery from which feeds the lights, radio, Satdish, VAST STB TV and the fan.

The question is (before this thread get locked)

How do I keep the bus within the GVM of 5000, I've already dumped 2 batteries and operate on one battery only.

Also I also run a Waeco drawer fridge and occasionally forget to turn it off when I put the bus in storage yet the drawer still keeps cold. Can I store my beer in this fridge?

Yes, as long as it's light beer so you don't go over the 5,000kg limit :D

Might have to get the moderators onto this thread.
Nope they don't lock them....... they just donate them one of those plastic chairs that T1 has for 'special' occasions!!!
So........ if it's a genuine enquiry maybe it can be shifted to either electrical or fridges section? lol.......
Russell I think I'd like a good look at your 'truck'........
You have 3 axles & only have a 5000kg gross vehicle? Are those 2 back axles out of mum's pram?
(single wheels each side?)
You're over the 4.5 tonne so there's no benefit in staying below 5t.
Did you have the extra axle installed or was it factory fitted? Has it been re-rated by a decent engineer?
