no that's not what I'm saying Dot. I said 1 ltr of black water is close enough to 1 kg. Or maybe I'm speaking crap.

I reckon that you would be pretty close to the mark Craig. They reckon that sewerage/black water is 98% water or some figure like that anyway so it won't be much out. Unless you are related to Lennie the Lump - but that is another story. After all this is a family forum   And yes we both are speaking crap.

I reckon in our black tanks we minmise the amount of water because water is precious, so the concentration of solids including paper is much greater. Once the gas is removed from the polly waffle it sinks to the bottom, therefore it has a greater density than water, therefore it must weigh more than straight water, but how much more, 5%, 10%, 20%

Here's another different method for black water disposal.

A friend of mine, still traveling somewhere outback, has a macerator after his black tank which feeds into a second tank and this second tank has a venturi which feeds directly into his exhaust system as he drives along. I really do not know exactly how it is set up but he swears that his system does in fact vaporize the liquid through the exhaust and cannot be detected by sight or smell. That said I don't think I'll be following him any time soon.

Been reading this thread again and I was thinking Craig was thinking the "dehydrated" end result of 1lt of fresh polly waffle waste would weigh 1 kg of the dehydrated polly waffle "ash".. :? :? Am I getting deeper in the polly waffle do do with this??''

BUT I do have some news to offer,, I understand that a new type of "moisture removing system" will be on the market very soon. I know the system/patent has been bought and will be on the market within the next 12 mths.. Apparently the "ash pan" will only need to be emptied every yr or so. Go figure..No I don't know the name of it but I should know that next mth when my infoman comes for a backyard stay.. xx

read this statement again Dot. No mention of word dehydrated. So I am referring to the contents of the black water tank weighing 1 kg to 1 ltr. Holy crap this is hard
