What !!!!! you went to school??
Yesterday at the appointed time we turned up at the tyre place but the one that was to do the job had a bit of an accident to back here at 9am and I am at a lose end while he is doing his thing with the tyres?? G has gone to get a few bits and pieces i.e a fuse of some kind plus a hot chick (for Bob) After we get these tyres sorted we are going for a day out at the beach with Bob n Bev and happy Jackie. Stayed last night at a friends rellies place (banana plantation), so much more relaxing not to hear every word or bodily function of your neighbour. Depending on the time we get back this arvo and G gets the ?? fuse thing done we might head out the road finally on our way to Mt Augustus. Lots and lots of caravans and M/H around the place. OK man finished all done, no leaks it was the valve so he replaced them all with plastic ones ? and said the pressures should be 100psi compared to what we were told of 80 Oh well C U x

Re: Dot & Georges .
Just so happens I've got some of those re-settable fuses coming from China. They should be here in a day or 2 I think.
I need mine for the same reason G does.
Every time I leave the battery charger connected to the battery, but turned off, it blows the fuse through the day.
I'm starting to think the high voltage from the solar is 'back feeding' and blowing the fuse.
As long as I disconnect the charger when not in use everything is OK.
I'm going to put one of these fuses in the charger and another in the positive lead to the battery.
Instead of disconnecting it I'll just flick the resettable fuse to off.
T1 might know but I'm suspecting the fuse is blowing to protect the capacitor from cooking?
Even when the charger is off I see a little spark when connecting it. (as it charges up the cap?)
Erich is/was having similar problems I believe?

Yes, I had two chargers blown by the high solar voltage, I suspect. Currently I manage by connecting/disconnecting the relevant cables (Anderson plugs) so that I never have solar going the wrong way into the charger.
Eventually once settled again, I will go with Terry's suggested solution. I don't think I can organise that while on the road.

Re: Dot & Georges .

Day 25 . Left Carnarvon after lunch today and finally got onto the road to Mt Augustus woo hoo at last

Very good bitumen road all the way to Gascoyne Junction 176ks today and not much traffic at all on it. Plenty of cows laying around the many water holes chewing their cud (learned term)

Re: Dot & Georges .
What a place to see. The camping space is very small and the only ones that would get in there with ease would be the wiz bangers or tents. We just did 2 of the easy walks but you could be here for a week or more to really get to see the beauty of this place. The road was wide and a few corrugations but we zoomed along at 80kph with no worries. The camera is not doing these pics justice at all but I am not a SteveW for sure but you get the idea. It was a great day out and now back in the bus where Brian has been a naughty boy being the terrorist again against Missy Meow. Sunny and warm with a gentle breeze blowing across the river

Fuelled up, watered up, tyres checked, oils and waters in vehicles checked and Gman topped up so looks like we are ready to hit the dirt. Reports from other travellers say the road conditions are all good so off we go.
