"R.Moore found that the injector test was to specs."
Maybe, the fault was not caused by the injectors?

I almost accept that > BUT < it is such a coincidence that there should be a major engine failure and only after driving -- just for a few hours and a bit under 100 km, that the engine should have this trouble.
My thoughts are that the injector people are the specialists on performance / turbo / and fuel injection that the cause of the initial complaint was not taken into account by them. Also, that they were very reluctant to give me the test results.
Initially they said that 3 injectors had failed, and when I persisted in having the test results they state that only 2 injectors were leaking and they did not do any further testing. They did not do a compression test, which I am told should have been carried out to pinpoint the cause of the problem.
The speedo was reading 141,525 km before the repair [which is nothing for a 3 ltr turbo Iveco], and I had only driven 160 km when it failed. Previous fuel consumption was from 16 to 18 litres per 100 km, which went to over 50 litres to drive 160 km from Perth to my home in the Wheatbelt.
If there was a pre-existing MAJOR problem about to happen, that was severe enough to cause this engine damage, then it should have been obvious to the 'experts' before the work on the injectors was started. That is my line of thought.
Keith.

Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
