This was at the 10mile Rocks Rest area #27 camps 6 where we stayed last night. Large area, bins and a loo etc but came across this wee grave of Munty who is buried under a tree and his grave is visited daily so I guess he isn't too lonely  I couldn't leave my pet out in the woop woop but that's me. Anyway we had a headwind all the way to where we are now i.e. Baxter Rest area #16 camps 6. Loos, big area, etc etc. Did a whopping 235ks today. NOT looking forward to the next few days of headwinds but the temps are good for travelling (until Sunday) might park up if too hot. Saw a daddy emu with 6 chicks today :D A lot of MHs coming along now..

Seems to be more reception across the Nullabor than back in 2013!
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

If you lived on the road you wouldn't have a lot of choice but to leave your friend in a favourite rest area where many would visit. Maybe Margaret will do that for me... hopefully she won't pile the rocks on top 'til I'm actually dead :?

There is a signal all the way on the Indian Pacific. So if you ever need reception, just head a little North to the rail line, and hey presto...reception. :)

pressure cleaning at Baxter Rest area.jpg
Brian cuddles.jpg
Dump point at Baxter Rest area002.jpg

Baxters rest area had these men come along in their truck with a pressure cleaning device and zapped the loos within a mm of their life  they also gave the adjoining dump point a blast  Last night (Thurs) we stayed at a "P" spot only but there was a huge area further back and not a single other sole was there, great spot 26ks west of Madura on R) There was however another little doggie grave there, It was Diesel and he passed in 2011 so we redid his sign with permanent marker. :( and replenished the stones atop of him. Hit the road mid morn, warm with a cool breeze refuelled at the Madura roadhouse $174cpl then made camp in the Jilah Rock hole rest area where there are nice shady trees (which we had pick of) also loo and bins for the fool hearty folk. Brian was so tired from the days drive he had to go and have a cuddle from his Teddy bear  G did another fuel consumption this time with the tyres up to 90psi but we have had a headwind since Norseman and there is no difference, so the extra air in the tyres might be compensating for the winds ?? anyway not to worry. It is now 1545hrs and the caravans are starting to compete for level positions  and it is time for me to have a wine (liquid stuff)

I was sitting in the passengers seat playing with this machine and I could smell gas (not mine) so told G and he set off with some soapy water, Turned out the shut off valve is where the bubbles blew so turned that bottle off and using the other one. Pays to have a good sniffer..

Good one Dot, you may have averted a disaster. Hopefully you will never know.
