Glass screen protectors

Post by Jon and Kay »

I have always been an advocate of the plastic screen protectors on phones and tablets. Without them , my screens are unreadable.

I replaced my tablet and phone recently , and purchased GLASS screen protectors. They are brilliant. They are expensive, but they do superior job to the plastic alternative, and so far have lasted two months without a scratch. If you need a screen protector, you need a glass screen protector.

SHE put a glass protector on her iphone. Dropped the phone - landed on a corner. Glass screen protector is fine - screen underneath smashed into a million pieces.

Yeah Steve, but still usable - no?

She let the grandkids play with the iPad. They (one of um) dropped it on the tiles (as they do) and smashed the display. At the store for replacement the techy said, "Hah, that's not that bad". So she got a plastic stick on. Now on the second one as they don't last.

Wonder if the glass will stay on longer and for how much $$$ ?

$270 for new screen. Glass protector $35. Didn't bother - due for an upgrade in December.
