"tanks" TANK
Well, here we go on the merry-go-around again:-
After having the injectors of the Iveco/Winnebago Leisure Seeker reconditioned ($2207.00 thank you) I covered a distance of approx 92 km before the engine had a major failure.
I had the motorhome towed to Skippers Trucks for a complete engine rebuild and some $11,584 later I drove to Wyalkatchem. I noticed that the temp guage was going up to 95, whereas it usually shows around 80. After getting home ( a distance of 230 km) half of the coolant fluid was lost.
I phoned Skippers and expressed my concerns. They sent a driver out to Wyalkatchem to take the motorhome back to Perth to their workshop for further testing.
After one week in their workshop they told me that all was ok and they would return the vehicle.
Their mechanic only got to Northam and the engine blew up again. They towed the motorhome back to their workshop for further inspection/testing.
HERE I SIT BROKEN HEARTED --PISSED-N-BROKE !!! Now waiting to hear what the latest is on the [twice] broken engine.
I'm glad that I did'nt sell the Mercedes Sprinter, so I can still take "Russell" for a drive.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Oh No!! That is terrible news Tanks!
Kick me in the backside if I EVER weaken and even think about getting an International/Iveco/Fiat...........
Be good if you could wind the clock back a couple of years like you can wind back your computer!
Time to just consider recouping as much money and dignity you can I think.
Thinking of you and Russell Tanks!

Re: "tanks" TANK
Anybody want to buy an Iveco Winnebago "Leisure Seeker". Nice to sit in and watch the TV, or just listen to the radio.
Your dog won't get travel sick. Free parking at Skippers Trucks.
Fully reconditioned engine 300 km ago [last week that is].
Another fully reconditioned engine next week by the looks of it.
I Hope to get another 300 km out of the beast with the next recon engine.
The tyres never wear out, very low mileage, does not use very much diesel or oil.
A lot of confidence required before tackling the Nullabor again.
Perhaps I should take the plane to Maryborough, or drive the Mercedes Sprinter across to the East to visit my Sister.
Keith.

Re: "tanks" TANK
My heart goes out to you Keith.
To still have all those
problems after you driving to Newcastle to collect the 'vehicle'.
I hope you and Russell keep a lot healthier for many more years to come, in which case we may yet meet up to have a drink or two, ( or 3 or 4 or more).
Kind regards and Best Wishes
Colin

Gee, Keith, that is such rotten luck. Maybe you need to take out a winning lotto ticket, so you can dump the home on wheels in the nearest garbage tip.
Hope it starts to get a whole lot better for you soon.
