I hear a dog nearby - starts up each evening. Could be that the owners are not there, just as we had trouble once with a nearby neighbours dog that howled all day - until the owner came home. So I suppose the "human morons" should muzzle the dog when they go out?

Oh, and if "feral humans" make too much noise I just contact the authorities!

When an animal makes an inappropriate din, or behaves badly, it is never the animals fault. It is always, in my mind anyway, traceable to poor behavior of it's human carers. Animals do what they are conditioned to do. Stupid owners. Dogs, cats, horses, even bloody parrots, it doesn't matter.
Getting back to OP, this didn't go where I thought it would either, and still hasn't. And Dot is already cranky with Steve and I, so I'm not taking it there. :roll: :roll: :roll: :D

Our next-door neighbour has a Cocky that's lonely. Calls all evening until full darkness: Ark, Ark, Ark...
If we stand at the fence & call "Hello Cocky!" he stops, stares at us, then climbs up to his top perch, out of sight, and goes sleepy-byes. :D
I think he's shy as well... :roll:
Ya gotta innovate sometimes, to find what works. ;)
