Got me one- WIFI 4G Modem

Post by RussellB[SA] »

On special, WIFI 4G modem - pre paid (Telstra) with 5 gig data (30 days) $149 with antenna.

Victor Harbor has 4G so got 27mbs down, 20mbs up, didn't notice any congestion as did on 3G network.

I love my toys.

Pity I didn't have time to use it 15days only used 500mg. Days filled with sleeping, eating,, drinking, walking and riding, falling asleep in front of telly etc.

It was fast when I used it though. :D

Russell,
If you pay for the next month in advance, does your unused credit roll-over?

regards

I'm pretty sure you lose what you don't use.

$180 buys 12gig with expiry 365 days.

$20 8.0c 250MB $5 21
$30 4.29c 700MB $7 30
$40 3.91c 1GB $10 30
$50 1.63c 3GB $10 30
$80 1.95c 4GB $10 60
$100 1.63c 6GB $15 90
$180 1.46c 12GB $20 365

Credit Rules – if you recharge your service before the recharge expiry date, your new recharge expiry date will be the longer of either 1) the expiry date for your existing balance (before you recharged), or 2) the expiry date for your new recharge amount.

We"ve been using the 3G Telstra router on the 365 day deal for two years now while on the road and it works well for us but once we hit the hit road full time for 7 months, I'm not sure how long the data allowance will last. :? We are fairly heavy users with a 20gb allowance per month at home.

Lesley throw an Optus based SIM in your toolbox. If it doesn't work swap SIM's.

But surely Optus is lacking in Oz wide coverage or have I been mislead? :?

Mostly in very isolated areas but elsewhere it's not a lot different. (in my opinion)
Carry two SIM's & use the cheapest when you can!
