Hard to believe but....

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Great videos Bruce, it makes it easier to understand when you can see what others have been explaining. I thought the Mazda was going to wear the back of the Beddy when it went up the ramp.

Terry didn't mention that amongst all the shenanigans he also came to the aid of Greg who drove to Mannum from Dot and Georges as the gearbox in our Patrol had spat the dummy and they hoped to fix it between them. ( unfortunately we have to have a replacement gearbox so D and G will be putting up with us for a while longer!).
Thanks so much Terry.....in amongst all your gremlins you were ready to help us with ours!

Back in Lake Illawarra after a 15 1/2hr trek, rather uneventful except for a planned run out of fuel between Ouyen and Narrandera. We were taking guesses about how far out the trip meter would be compared to when it actually stopped moving in a forward direction and if I'd get wet as the rain was on/off. I thought it would have reset to 0 after the last event but apparently it uses the 50% rule, so instead of being 10km out it was 5 kms this time.... but we were still 65km out of Narrandera so towing one trailer upside down on the other had more effect as drag on fuel economy than the weight did on the trip across as I still had fuel remaining in the tank when I did the trip from Narrandera to Ouyen a week earlier. Put the jerry can in and drove to the servo, decided against the coffee and food there after a few previous trips and headed on to Wagga after a splash and dash.... and down came the rain. Refuelled in Wagga and went to the worst Macca's in Aust I'd say in central Wagga, place was dirty, rest rooms filthy and stunk and the food was cold and the patty even more tasteless than usual.... not even the coffee was good, so I'd recommend to avoid that one, saw another Macca's a little further down beside a United fuel servo that had the cheapest fuel I'd seen so far  typical isn't after paying the most we'd payed for fuel on the whole trip a few mins before.
Another top up at Pretty Sally near the Illawarra hwy turn off just in case but I think we would have made it with fuel to spare, but at 3 am I had little interest in running out of fuel a few km from home.
So depressing to come home to a house that looks like a bomb site and then realising that there were no sheets here and the only mattress was the 3/4 size one out of the original Mazda set up, but I reckon I could have slept comfortably on barb wire by that stage so a few single bed sheets from the furniture wrapping/packing box..... and no pillows.... 2 throw cushions from one of the lounges that somehow made the trip back in the Ford and off to the land of ZZZZzzzzzz...... for about 4hrs. Now I understand the difference between dry heat and the other sort, same soaked in sweat but 15*C cooler
Now for the clean up and finally packing job... ain't I looking forward to that

You could write a book about this, "The exploits, trials, and tribulations of T1 and Co". Make it an ongoing series.....

Well done Terry, Margaret & Brian!!!
I'm also back in Kingston after leaving Sunday morning. Lawns look OK.
When I used to be on the road & going from Sydney to Adelaide I used to turn off the Hume highway just South of Yass and go through Binalong, Harden, Temora, Ardlethan, Grong Grong and then into Narrandera.
Depending on your fuel tanks I used to fuel in Yass, Hay or Balranald & Pinnaroo. (Truck stops... best price & best tucker)
I'm hoping to be back in Mannum around the 14th or so ....... in time for "Sounds by The River" on the 16th. (I believe?)

I'm hoping for a houseboat view from the river...........

Reckon you should have good seats for the music show Bruce but personally I'm not a Jimmy Barnes fan, never have been, the rest sounds good.
