Inverter microwave

I,m thinking of a small inverter microwave oven for the van and am wondering what size inverter ( 12 / 240 V ) I would need to run it.
Currently have a 1500/ 3000 w psw ( cheap ebay ) and was wondering if that would run it. It will not run an ordinary m/w oven . so hoping it might run an inverter style oven.
Considering something like a Panasonic SD 351 mqpq

We have a cheap mirco wave only 700 watts so our 1000 inverter ran it nicely

Welcome to the forum Merv. I had a look at the Panasonic site and they say the max power draw is 1500w, so being an inverter style I believe the power used at the lower settings is lower proportional to the level selected. So level 3 for instance would draw 750w. The older style microwaves simply ran full power for a reduced length of time for the lower settings but I believe the inverter type run constant heating input but at a lower level. I seem to remember someone on the private lithium forum had one and mentioned about the reduced power requirements, but it was a while ago and I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks for the answers so far. I guess what I need to know is 'are inverter type microwaves any easier to start than a standard microwave ??
I tried the inverter on a standard microwave of 1200 w input but inverter couldn't start it up. So the question is a better inverter or a new oven ?

Our microwave runs off our 3000w inverter fine. Its an older panasoniic. Think its arond 1100w

Our microwave is 750w runs off 2500w inverter with 120l 240v fridge easy.

We've got a 24V 800W inverter which happily runs our convection microwave (inverter type) oven for short periods. The inverter can handle up t0 1200W overloads for up to 20 mins, but our batteries would not be able to keep up. When connected to mains power we can also use the convection oven but we do try to ease the load on the batteries while on inverter by cutting the power level to around 70% if we're only thawing frozen food or reheating something. It's never been a problem during the day while the sun's shining on our solar panels or we are driving off again after a brief lunch stop.
