Supersparkies new toy.

Post by supersparky »

After at least a year of searching we have finally found our new M/home.
2006 Winnebago Alpine. Only one extremely fussy previous owner. We picked it up from Bathurst on Friday. While we were there we went to the National Motoring Museum trackside at the mountain. There is some amazing stuff on display there. If you have any interest in motorsport then go and have a look.
Anyway, about our Alpine, mostly original. All the standard Winnebago stuff and a few extras. 360w solar, 480 A/hr batts (not lithium yet) 60amp 12volt alternator for house. 65,00 km 6 speed manual, long range fuel tank, Michelin tyres and we love it. It has sufficient power that I don't have to flog it to get up hills but the ride is a little harsh compared to the Coaster. I have only done a rough check but it averaged about 19 litres /100k and that was at keeping up with the trucks speed, so it will get better.

Very nice David & Terri & Bandit, so will the coaster travel behind as the run around vehicle  I won't ask what the cloud of steam was about coming from the front area in the first morning photo..... maybe it was Bandit breathing heavy  So, did you take it for a run around the track? What was the lap time?
