Bernie,
I would go for the white as all stainless steels aint stainless steels. We bought a stainless bar fridge about 4 years ago, has been in the house all the time and there are rust spots all over it despite regular cleaning.

Yes makes one smile when you see fridge magnets sticking to them, What are you going to do with the old one ?? You are on the right track fitting a 240 volt fridge in the MH.. The 600 watt should run it ok, just make sure its a PSW inverter...
Good luck with the change over, I would do the same if I hadnt made the fridge fit neatly in the van, not going to cut and saw anymore Bev would @#!%** at me.

Re: My fridge problem .
Gee when I first said I had and was using a 240v fridge in my Hino I was nearly sent to Siberia on the other forums because I told porkies as you could never run a 240v fridge in a RV.
Now it is becoming normal. soon people will want coffee machines, split system aircons, inverter stoves and hair dryies etc etc.
I think the normal response then was "If you need that stuff then stay home" LOL now every one has got the "gone soft " desease.
I know you will never regret your purchase if it half the fridge mine is.
I have been wanting it to die for the last three years as I would like a new shiny one but the bugger keeps keeping everything cold and frozen where needed so it stays put. Even offered it to Terry for the workshop to justify a new one but that failed to.
Regards
Brian

You can just picture Brian using his hair dryer each morning eh

Re: My fridge problem .
Waiting for Bernie's report on his new (now turned on) inverter fridge.
Bernie after your first impression, do you think it would be big enough for the houseboat?
I'm thinking I need at least a 255l one.
Do you know how many litres in freezer and in fridge compartments?

Re: My fridge problem .
Here is a female question re this fridge? Q/ Is this fridge a normal household one? how does it run? total battery charged from the solar? what happens when a few cloudy days and no power to spare??
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Re: My fridge problem .
Normal household Dot will be on inverter soon at the moment only on 240 its still just sitting on the floor of the bus not installed .
Dot a few cloudy days mate we live in Qld don't know what a cloud looks like .
There's always power to spare even tho I don't use it I do have a Honda 2 in the boot just encase .
The blurb with the fridge says 4000w per year , someone may enlighten us on that ? Where's that T1 when ya want him ?
