Agree has always been a great place to stay along the river even better since they built the amenities, good small town.

Boonoo Boonoo (near Qld/NSW border - pronounced 'BUNNY B'noo'!
Then there's Goonoo Goonoo (Near Tamworth, pronounced the same way)
And Gunyerwaraldi (near Moree, pron: 'GUNNY-worral-dye'!)
NSW has Come-By-Chance and Vic has Who'd-a-Thought-It.
And in Tas, you can visit NOWHERE ELSE!

My road atlas identifies it as "Blackfella's Creek"...

An elderly aboriginal lady drowned in a waterhole not far from Bordertown & Wolseley many many years ago.
Her surname was Goric. She was a Gin. (female name for Lady)
The swamp where she drowned is now called Pooginagoric. (poor gin goric)
