UHF two way

Post by Kappy »

Couldn't find a spot for this.

Got the new rig home, now want to fit a UHF radio.

Anyone recommend a particular brand and why?

Cheers

"tanks" here Kappy,
Hold off on your purchase of a 2-way UHF until you get here.
I have an ORICOM, uhf088, N13134, Z765 whatever all of that means. There is a large whip aerial that goes with it, but no base as this went with the Iveco when I sold the van.
The 2-way did have an extension speaker and I now use this in the W'baggo, but they are available for only a few dollars on e-bay. I would recommend that you have an extension speaker.
I think it is an 80 channel unit but I have limited knowledge about this.
I was going to install it in the Iveco that I had plans to make into a motorhome before I got the W'Baggo Leisure Seeker.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
