Re: Keith Moxham resigns?
The election of Keith to the CMCA board was the major influence in changes that have occurred the past couple of years all for the better of members. He certainly got the ball rolling. Thanks Keith a job well done wishing you and you wife all the every best in the future.
Re: Keith Moxham resigns?
This is from Keith Moxham with his permission , due to some members here not being CMCA members but hold Keith in high regard .

Hi All
Yesterday afternoon I formally resigned as a Director of the CMCA, my resignation Email is below which explains the reason for the resignation.
When I was first elected in 2012, it was with the very enthusiastic support of many members of the old forum, I could name names, but I fear that I would omit someone, you all know who you are, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support then and through the journey I have taken as a Director of this wonderful club.
Our club is in great shape, just consider the list of things that have happened since I joined the board in 2013, some of these have been introduced by me others by other directors, with the board and NHQ as a team driving all the changes•The forum has returned
•We have an MSO scheme
•We have an RV Parks scheme, with Ingham open and around 6 or 7 in the pipeline
•We have a dollar wise CP scheme
•Communication - We have a Face Book page
•Communication - We have Emailed news to the members
•Communication - We have quarterly financial updates
•We have the first meeting of the constitutional review committee at Bathurst
Our membership came up for renewal in March, and we took out a five year membership so you won't be seeing the last of Beth and I for quite some time.
Looking forward to meeting up on the road
Cheers
Keith.

This is the email sent to the board .
Bernie .
Email sent to the CMCA Board and the CMCA CEO on Saturday the 16th of May 2016 at 1:59pm
Dear Lorraine, Garry. Gary, Ken and Richard
When I ran for office in 2012, the key items on my agenda were
Establish a NZMCA POP type park over system
Bring back a properly managed forum
Establish CMCA RV Parks
Greater financial disclosure
All these objectives have been achieved.
As you are all well aware, in 2012 I had open heart surgery and battled and won against throat cancer, in April 2015 I was taken by ambulance from the Murray Bridge rally and operated on for a blocked bowel.
In December 2015 two months after being re elected I fainted whilst landing my aeroplane, and have since found out that the fainting was caused by an undiagnosed heart electrical issue which is now controlled by a pace maker. Whilst sorting out the pace maker issue Beth has had an issue with her knee, which is still ongoing.
This year I will turn 73, and Beth will turn 70, taking into account that the key points I was originally elected to do, have been done, our age, and the current state of both mine and Beth’s health, in consultation with Berth we have decided that now is the time when we should be concentrating on our own bucket list.
I would advise you that I am resigning as a director of the CMCA effective immediately.
Beth and I have been having this conversation for some months now, and with nominations for the next election being called soon, I believe that now is the time to to take this action.
I would thank you all for your support encouragement and advice over the journey, and I wish you and the CMCA all the best for the future.
Laugh more, Live longer
Keith

Re: Keith Moxham resigns?
After seeing the news paper article about Keith's plane crash and mention of Beth's health I was fearing the worst. Thank you Bernie for posting these, and thank you Keith for both writing them and giving permission for them to be available here. Great to see Keith is happy with his achievements within the CMCA, and so he should be, and the reasoning behind announcing his resignation from the board now, to give plenty of time for anyone thinking about running for the board to get up to speed for the nominations, a decision made with the god of the club in mind as well as looking after their own health.
Congratulation Keith & Beth for all you have achieved for the CMCA and for knowing when it's time to look after your own wants and needs, hope to meet up again soon

Re: Keith Moxham resigns?
What a damn shame. Keith dragged that club out of the doldrums and initiated it back onto the road to recovery after the disaster of the last couple of mobs.
All the best to Keith and his wife and hopefully a happy retirement. We owe you a huge bundle Keith, good luck.
