Been raining here for the last few days, so spent my time in the workshop redesigning the fuel and energy system. As well as going through my late mates decades of notes and designs for so many things, which his kids didn't want. Have already decided to rebuild all my lifepo4 pack controls to go with some of his idea's, that make controlling them a breeze and hope to have the one on the house done in a week.

Today added a new fuel pumping system, now the veggie oil is pushed to the iP instead of dragged and the start tank also has a pump to make fuel feed easy on the engine. The pumps are 12v, tried a number of 24-12v converters, but none handled the pumps very well. So re-installed a set of gel batteries I've have on the shed, which used to be in the bus before lifepo4, until the new lifepo4 cells arrive. The gel will be charged through the alternator and a 60amp 24-12v converter, to power the hot water system when on the road and as backup.

Installed a 9ah AGM deep cycle battery by the pumps, which is fed from the gel via an isolating switch and keeps the pumps humming along nicely. Now the bus has 12v x 480amp lifepo4, 12v x 360amp gel and 24v x 60amp batteries. The 60amp is used for transferring energy from the alternator to the gel, saving the start batteries. When the new lifepo4 cells arrive, will remove the gel and have 980amps of lifepo4 on board.

I've been farting around trying to fill the inside of where the new door is . No room to move or place bits in to help with fasteners .
BUT getting there Carol now has a place for her (camp) books above the new door within reach from her seat . ( if she stands up that is )

Don't listen to him Phil! We all know the bargains are to be had in the cold, quiet season!
This time of year the staff at the hotel for evening meals outnumber the customers!
Just remember to bring a LOT of winter clothes and Ann to bring her mink stole!!
Oh! .... and Mia's hot water bottle!!

I heard that when Dot says No she really means Yes. I'm glad we are pre-Politically Correct.
