Re: Col & Jenny
4 nights at Uluru, we were fortunate to get a site in the camping area that is powered from a shelter, because we did not book ahead, we would of paid $44 a night instead of the $20 a night, win for this place. On to Alice Springs tomorrow, almost shorts and tee shirt weather at the moment.

Re: Col & Jenny
We have just left 80 mile beach today. So far we have been across the Gibb river road, into El Questro, Home Valley, Ellenbrae, camped for 2 days at Gibb river crossing, pulled out of going to Mitchell falls as Jenny's back and the caravan would have broken.
Into Manning Gorge and Bell gorge, plus others, Windjana gorge was nice, overall I counted a million plus one corrugations give or take a few!!!
Did a trip to the Horizontal Falls by sea plane and power boat ride through the falls at 2 occasions, a Barramundi lunch before flying back to Derby.
Onto Broome, stairway to the moon, and other places around, business here know how to extract the $$$$ from you.
Then down to Goldwire rest area before into 80 mile beach CP, only 9 kms of minor corrugations here, some tar road ears think this road is terrible, they ain't seen nothing as can be said.
Now heading for Pt Hedland then Karijini NP.
Dot, I remember your posts about the dirt road into Mt Augusta, not sure if we will go there.

Re: Col & Jenny
You sound like you are having a great time, how about some pics for us lot down here freezing?? If you want to go there just go by car and stay in their cabins, but it is worth it. The roads in were good when we went in regard to corrugations. If you do go there go in from Gascoyne junction end .. I would also suggest if you did take your van put ALL stuff into big plastic bags just to be sure. Not having a caravan the dust thing may be different in getting into your van, some say they leave vents open or something?? Enjoy and keep us up with where you are next time..
