Funny how we all want SOME sort of home even if we seldom are there!!
Then there are others like SteveW that just can't make up their minds where Home is!!
Ensconced in Glenelg now, Bruce. The motorhome is at Strathalbyn where a shed is being built - big enough for two.

G,Day All
We wont make the get together this year, Glennis,s mother is suffering from terminal cancer and although she has been given an estimate ( July this year) of how long she has, she has responded well to ray treatment and is likely to be with us for a while yet, she had a head on with a telegraph pole last November, she was expected to die from her injuries then but she pulled through and it has taken quite a long time for her to come good from that, so she has had a very hard time over the past year,
At her request we enquired about a nursing home for her, had the ACAT assessment done and when it became time for her to choose which one she wanted to have a look at she declared that she did not want to go into a nursing home and wanted to stay in the family home so we had to get home services put in place for her, we also live in the family home and as she has had numerous falls she cant be left alone for too long, we have not had a night away since November last so we have arranged for respite care for her in August, we have three weeks and although we could get up to Elphinstone Glennis does not want to be too far from home in case anything happens with her.
So we are going to Forster about 150 Ks from home for two weeks of rest and fishing, so maybe next year we will make it wherever you may be

Stay Safe

Thanks Dot, Been told that the creek below has plenty of muddies but I'm not going to take the boat off for a look just now.
The rain went south by the wet in Brisbane . I saw the match on TV tonight , I'm sure that some were in a boat putting out crab pots,
don't think the bombers were doing good.

I thought that it was Elphinstone end of July! That is what we are working on anyway. What if it rains-we will put our annex (with new non leaking Awning!) up as we did at Kerang one year (I thing that was where it was). This is the first winter since 2007 we have not been travelling the southern, east to west- part of Australia in WINTER with rain, winds etc. If you are in QLD come here. I remember a few years ago we were at Mareeba in July & we were invited to the CMCA thingo one morning for a coffee by friends- very rudely told we were not allowed in there by a volunteer but the NQ organiser had seen what happened & came out to our van to apologize.

Have been chastised quite a few times by the gestapo for either not joining their activities because I had a motor home to being told I must move my bus away from caravans and join their group to being harassed that I must join the C##A as I had motorhome to I must attend a chapter rally to going to a nation rally as it WAS my duty as a motorhomer. I am not the only one that has spoken of this treatment do does not go well for the club PR.

Unfortunately there are people in any organisation that like to show some muscle at times. Must be an ego thing?
We have a couple of similar Ar********s in the marina at present.....
Extraordinary Meeting this coming Friday to vote on expelling all trailers, caravans, motorhomes, boats, boat trailers ........ except a motorcar, from within the marina.
Huh? So 155 privately owned berths/lots aren't allowed to EVER have any friend/relative visit? Beg your pardon?
Grrrrr!
I might be moving marinas shortly!!
Brian those OTHER people are the losers ....... Just look at the handyman, gentleman, good mate, & top friend the will NEVER know?
You might meet them broken down on the side of the road one day? Who knows?

Well, no argument to change the time/location of the gathering in QLD at the end of July so it stays as it is folks.

Elphinstone from 29th July 2016.

If you're thinking of coming & haven't indicated as per the first post in this thread, kindly do so here & I'll add your details to the list.
