This may be a silly question.
What may seem logical to some may not be to others.
But here goes, I'm still learning about my rig and believe it or not I discovered a switch on my inverter that enabled 240V inside the bus.
I intend to install a Rinnai 16 or a Thermann 16 and sack the currant Suburban Heater.
The Thermann utilities 240v for the ignition system I'm not sure about the rinnai.
Does anyone know if 24 volt will work for the system computer or will running it from the inverter 240 volt detrimental to the solar set up.
I fell kinda stupid about my discovering . Doh
Cheers

Re: 240 inverter power.
A very good question Kappy, do they simply convert the 240vac down to 12v or 24v or even lower for the igniter and control system? I can't imagine they actually use 240vac for either of those jobs so I guess it's a matter of finding out just were in the system you could connect 12v or 24v straight in.

Re: 240 inverter power.
All the ones on houseboats don't have any electricity of any type to them.
Water pressure triggers the supply of gas which triggers the spark to ignite it.
Must be some form of piezza ........ a bit like those little 'gas guns' for lighting your gas stove.
I have a Bosch unit.
