Might have to come down to have a look Bruce.
Yes doing pontoons whilst up on the slip. Possibly get them to do if they spray and do myself if it is brush or rollers.

First night at a little rest stop called Lake Tintinara, they have a toilet made out of a concrete drainage pipe for the walls, brilliant, and a really tidy stop.
Second night was Cuppa & Julie's place near Ballarat and sat up late drinking Alan brewed rum and Pepsi Max, anyone who has attended a Taggerty get together will know what that is all about
Last night at Healesville or some where close to it beside a field ballet arena..... and it rained yet again with strong wind. We are here to fix a problem caravan install, and the problem is yet again more dodgie caravan manufacture wiring practices. Seems Crusader decided that a cable linked from the 3 way fridge power supply from the vehicle run back to the hose battery was the answer to vehicle/caravan battery charging, when we fitted the DC to DC charger the circuit became reversed, the DC to DC provided a higher voltage than the car battery cable, so the current ran back down the car supply cable, then back into the DC to DC converter and so the loop continued, under size cable and the lack of a diode in either circuit cause the problems, the only fix available at the moment is to disconnect the wire from the fridge to the house battery, so the 3 way fridge will suffer the usual poor performance it had previously. They were so happy that the lithium install had got the fridge working better, but not much I can do, the fridge wiring is too small but concealed in the walls so I can't upgrade it here. The fix is a proper fridge really.
Back there to finish the job, really hard where it's parked up a driveway with mud all around and bushes right up against the sides, they had already been pruned right back to fit the van in, the owners are off travelling in the US at he moment so no way to move the van, they must have taken the tow car to the airport.

Sorry David, N Hill was just a drive through this time, Mazda has performed at her best and no we haven't run out of fuel....yet.... but Margaret would like to put some money on it happening before we get home

Not sure where they are Wayne / Nini but I bet it is near a winery somewhere.
They took the good stuff with them I think, just saw one bottle of Duriff before they left and that was it.
Just as well I have the Cowboy and the scotch and the bourbon and if that runs out there is tea and coffee and then last resort WATER.

Get real Brian, you wouldn't drink water unless it was frozen and submerged in alcohol to kill any bugs that might be in it.
Stayed a night beside a field ballet ground near Healesville, when back to finish the fix, then down to Bentleigh East to stay with friends there for the night.
We decided to visit Lance and Annie but couldn't get them on the phone and after a drive up that way I couldn't remember the required turn off.... cause I couldn't find the road we went there last time..... so we gave up an that plan and decided to head home down The Great Ocean Rd..... got to Anglesea and it was cold, raining (how unusual for Victoria) and a sign to say the road was closed at some creek..... a search on Google said there was a turn off at the next town back toward the highway, then we found a free camp beside a lake near Colac, so here we are. One of the first spots for some time where the water isn't brown, quite a nice spot with around a dozen RV's camped along the shoreline, but still lots of room between us so not bad at all, there is a tap and a clean toilet block, what more could you want 8-)
Still haven't had a breakdown, flat tyre or run out of fuel, if Peter is running the book on this trip he'll be making a killing so far

Gee you sure are having a holiday! Could be a good move going down South as this year it seems like the weather systems are going through a bit further North than usual.
If you keep heading back in that direction you should find some interesting wineries around Coonawarra or even near my old stomping ground, Mount Benson/Cape Jaffa.
Brian is 'up to the job" ..... locked the gate so I couldn't get in!!

Was it close to sun down? He was probably in bed already  Either that or he never actually opened it this morning, that has happened moe than once.
Is the river still rising? They ae predicting another '48 flood level on the river so I guess that's why they sand bagged the shops. Last time they did that it was to stop the floods waters that were coming down the hill heading for the river because when the river is up there is no where for the water to drain to, so the main street floods..... we might still get a water front property, it didn't have a lot further to rise before the water reached the road side out front of the new house.
how is that new waterway they build at the marina holding up, it was real close to the top when we left there... well it looked that way as we drove past anyway

COLAC!!
Nice town, T1, but you're a long way from Rutherglen! Are you planning to turn North soon to head for the Murray?
It's risen, but not flooding anywhere I'm aware of. Murray River Hwy is not cut.
PM me if you're coming by. Mrcoolibah & Nini may be dropping in after this w/e. They're in Talangatta ... I heard there's a football Game on somewhere, so Rutherglen is a bit busy now.
Maybe Talangatta is the same. People trying to escape the insanity.
Ch 7, as would be expected, spent the first 12 minutes of their 'news' program tonight flogging their telecast of it. But I didn't expect Ch 2 to join in the hysteria. Had to switch to NEWS24 to find out that Shimon Peres was being buried in Israel as they were going to air. And there are other things happening in the world apart from a football game!
Northward may be the only way home..
News tonight is that the Gawler R is flooding and Barossa is under water.
