Camped at Salmon Gums tonight with a gale trying to roll the van over, 6.15 pm and below 10 deg c outside tonight, 100 km winds today. We were camped the last 3 days at Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grande NP, Wednesday night was horrible weather and Friday was a beautiful day and a warm night for this part of the world, the foo a is back on the bed tonight for sure.
Hoping for some assistance from the wind to blow us across the Nullarbor to reduce the fuel consumption, today the wind was side on trying to blow us across the road, not comfortable driving under those conditions.
Tomorrow in Esperance the festival of the winds starts, apt description for this part of the country I reacon.

In Ceduna tonight, may have caught up with the 2.5 hour time change, left the cold south west wind behind for a short while and replaced it with a hot northerly wind, 36 deg here today a shock to the system, we left wet south west WA and heading for wet NSW and now with the hot weather the mozzies are coming out to play.
We took 5 days to cross from Salmon Gums to Ceduna, stopped off at various spots, walked on Eucla beach, I have taken to picking up plastic on beaches while Jenny is looking for shells.

Are you at the free camp at the sports complex? 36 deg WT?? no thank you. There is heaps of plastic on all the beaches, do not understand the thinking of the human race.. You should see the broken bottles on the sides of the roads here. Safe travels.

Update on our movements, back home yesterday from Dubbo, pick up my mum and attend a 50 year Dubbo High school reunion, our family left Dubbo in 1965 and went to Sydney, I had started year 10 then left and only visited school friends a couple of times in the 1st few years, at the reunion some came up who recognized me, my mind was a blank, lol anyhow once past that all was fine till you run out of subjects about school times.
Seems that quite a number went on to teaching and are better able to remember names, not my forte. Finally got a phone number for my best mate from school days and contacted him only to find the big 'C' has him.
We recently went to the Man from Snowy River festival at Corryong with 6 other couples from our 4WD club for the 1st weekend of April, I now have my fill of horses and country music.
Then we wandered down the Murray to Barham, then to Hay and Grong Grong, Junee, Coota and Bathurst then home.

So you had a great time away and ready to head off again I bet. I went to a high school reunion and found most of them were snobs. The big C has got it's tentacles into so many people now.

We are on the move again, so far this year we have been to Dubbo twice and a return visit to the MFSR festival at Corryong in April. We left Dubbo this afternoon and now camped at Gum Bend lake ( remember that place Dot ) heading south west to S.A. Up to the Flinders then the Oodnadatta track around to Coober Pedy down to Eyre peninsula to Ceduna and back east via the Murray river maybe visiting one or two of you forum regulars.
