The specs say 3 stage, bulk, absorption and float. supplied from warehouse at 19 Grimes Court, Derrimut,3030,Vic. I'd say worth a try.

The switchable fast or slow charging may indicate it is transformer type charger and not a switch mode charger, so the 40 amps may be a tad optimistic on their part. Brian has a collection of 12/24v chargers here that can maintain half their rated output for about a minute, then the overheat cuts in and it stops for twice as long as it runs. We have modified one of them with 2 fans and at least we get a better than 50% cycle between on and off so it is useable. Lithium batteries are savage on chargers because the charge acceptance rate does not drop off and the cheaper ones are over rated when it comes to maximum output, they can not maintain it.
Chargers like the Projecta IC5000 can maintain the 50 amps continuously, but that is around the $500 mark and only 12v, but I haven't had one fail yet and I've fitted a lot of them.

The honourable member T1 recommended me an IC5000 and its been thrashed mercilessly for the last couple of weeks, bringing a bank of 280AH AGMs back to full life after and extended layup. Excellent bit of kit.

There used to be a slogan on the back of the Cormacks Iwata catalogue, that I have always remembered.
"There is nothing in this world that Someone can make a little cheaper, and a little rougher. The person that buys on price alone is this man's natural prey."
I will beg forgiveness for any misquote, I rely too much on a faulty memory.

“ The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." I think it was Benjamin Franklin, but sadly a high price doesn't always mean quality either, an inverter starting with S and an English sounding name was supplied by the owner and turned out to be a modified sine wave with made in Taiwan printed on the back of the box. The bloke paid a small fortune for it and it failed in under 12 mths, paid another rather large amount and bought the next level up pure sine wave, same deal, dead in under 12 mths so he gave up and bought a Projecta I think, still going some 2 yrs later, and half the $$ he had spent for the other 2 units.
The name and price does not necessarily reflect a product that will last, yet sometimes stuff out of China at a rather low price seems to just keep on going, but there can also be a few failures within a mth or so or dead out of the box as the QC is rather poor in some factories. Not unusual to pick one up and shake it to hear rattles inside, open up and remove or fit the screws/nuts that are floating around inside before wiring it up, but those units seem to be the ones that last, so maybe the failures are due to poor assembly rather than poor quality components.

it is amazing the amount of badge engineering that goes into modern marketing, buy cheap, put on a reputable badge and sell at a large profit.
