Water is the main determining factor on length of stay. In WILBOR I put in a second tank for river/creek water and a seperate pump so I could divert river water to the cold water in the shower and flush the toilet leaving 300 litres for kitchen and hot water. Worked well :D and did I mention WILBOR Is still for sale :)

I thought you must have sold Wilbor ages ago, maybe you need to update the for sale notice on the forum to refresh people's minds :D

Might also be an idea to print off some notices and post them on notice boards all the way from home and back again. :)

I would be interested in advice re. solar regulators/chargers eg MPPT or PSW. I will have 400 watts of solar initially.
Two 200 Watt panels (V@ PMax 18.2v, V o/c 22.0v, Current @ PMax 10.99A and I may instal another 2 panels at some time in the future.

Battery capacity until I can relocate them to a larger and more accessible place.

Can I get a controller/regulator that will automatically switch between solar, MH alternator , portable generator.
Any recommendations and would I need to get a separate monitoring unit?

There are "combo" units that do operate as inverters, solar controllers as well as battery chargers but I'm not personally familiar with those for 12V. I don't think any also include the facility for also controlling the output of your alternator. Might need a DC to DC controller for that?
How many Ahr's of batteries do you have at present?
