2.9A is too low a draw when your toaster is running.
1450W toaster at 24V, should give 1450/24=60A + inverter losses, so perhaps around 65A.

Have you bypassed a shunt that measures the DC load?
Maybe you had 240V power connected to the RV and didn't realise?

Hi Kappy,

Just a word of caution. The batteries might vent some hydrogen gas.

The inverter mounted above can make a spark which might cause an explosion. It might be wise to separate them or at lease make sure there is lots of ventilation. Hydrogen floats so the ventilation path needs to include the top of the cabinet.

Good Morning.

Comments noted, will need to relocate invertor back to where it was, seemed like a good idea at the time.

240 Volt isolated by manual switch.

Seems my victory was maybe premature.

Well last night I ran A/C for about 3 hours and when turned off was showing 90%.

So over night I was running electric side of Suburban HWS, microwave on standby, 2 TV's on standby and 24 volt fridge and this morning before the sun had any effect on panel, notice an alarm coming from Bus.

On inspection invertor fault light was on and controller was showing 0% nothing coming in and nothing going out Amp wise but was displaying 23.7 volts I guess battery voltage.

I so I guess I'm at an impasse.

Although I do believe either or both the controller and invertor has a low voltage protection.

Does anyone recon having a roof mounted air con gets affected by the heat generated being on the roof. I'm still debating with my self . I was looking at a 1.5 kw but by the room sizer it's to small for our 20 foot van. So what size does everyone use in there 20 footer .

The harrier inverter one we have Dibs is rated at 3 kw, and is designed for up to 7m.
Manages that fine.

You don't think the sun heat makes it run a bit under power m8 . The more I think the more I get confused lol .

Dibsy, it won't be noticable.

You're only talking about the sun on the case.
Not the sun on the whole roof.

It's a bit like the sun shining on the case when it's mounted on a wall.

Kappy,

What is your SOC on the meter when this happened?
I suspect the inverter is not going thru the shunt and being missed being read by the meter, as per my last post.

More to the point .... it's not LiFePO4 and can't keep up without dropping below the inverter low voltage cutoff.
As soon as you cut the load, the voltage would bounce back up a fair bit??
24V fridge firing up while the hot water is on?? Inverter fridge?
