Just remember the reason for the season...
Amen to that.
I'm sure you don't really want to go there do you Jim

Let's just say that the season is a time for families to get together and hopefully bury old rivalries, friends to get together, even if it's only by email or card, and celebrate the fact they still have the freedom do that no matter what the past yr has dished out. It is also a time to move the money around, out of pockets to the retailers, from there pay all the bits that were involved in getting it there to sell in the first place so at least some of those $$ gets shared around and puts a smile on more than one face.
Is that the real reason for the season, to show we still have the capacity to smile and feel good? As good as any other reason I'd reckon

Sorry that you have got the stick by the wrong end, Terry.
Do you really know what "amen" means? The usage of Amen, meaning "so be it", as found in the early scriptures of the Bible is said to be of Hebrew origin; however, the basic triconsonantal root from which the word was derived is common to a number of languages, such as Aramaic, in the Semitic branch of the Afrasian languages.
So, if I had said "so be it", it would have been okay?
Strange that it was only me that you had a go at!!
