Hi Peter,
Don't know how close to Mannum you are today.
Just a bit of advice: if the Murray is up, avoid parking in the camping ground at Purnong (as distinct from 'Penong' on the Nullarbor).
We did in 2014, when the river level was above that of the campground right alongside the levee bank. Soil looked solid.
But next morning..

We had to be dragged out by a Land Rover with PTO winch, chained to a tree at the side...
long story.
Purnong's entire population (37) came to watch.
One comment, "We haven't had this much excitement in town since Hedley backed his ride-on into the river!"

We expect to see sights like that over the Christmas/New Yr period and right through till about Feb as the river is real high at the moment and still climbing. Purnong is across the river from our house, can't see it for the trees along the river bank the other side of the lagoon, but Google maps says it's there :lol:
