I got one of these,

http://www.slotmein.com.au/thewedge/

Very happy with it.

Got it for two purposes, back yard fire pit (incinerator) and camping warmth/cooking.

We have every Weber Q, the baby, the 220 and the 330 Family.

We needed our own fire pit, as sadly too often the hired or provided version is often not available.

It is expensive, but very well made and value for money.

We are looking forward to more cooking over the fire. Good to have the Q for inclement weather.
Enjoying living in Central Victoria.

As far as away from dirty Dan as possible. ;)

We saw a great fold up fire/cooking unit while we were doing the solar panel replacement job near Castlemaine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sP5GmjtGnE The fire pit also has a mesh piece to go in the bottom if you want a smaller fire.
A couple of things caught my attention in this next stove demo and I reckon they look easy enough to make.... the rocket stove that is  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGeFUDVYDq0

The rocket stove caught my attention, what was the other thing that got yours T1 ?
Got a bit of 3mm steel lying around, wonder if I can knock one up before stc ?
Wouldn't want to touch it, burnies !
But what got me was the small amount of fuel.

I go with 44 double D cup and they stood straight out..... no idea about the other thing but there was another You Tube via about making a rocket stove, but that one didn't catch my attention quite as much as Banshee Moon(s)

Found this one, love the tools he has and the speed he works, somehow it was snowing the first time he went outside and summer grass the next time when he painted it..... and I thought Mannum had suddenly changeable weather  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5bzH0Y ... 34.1599472

Too complicated prefer the miss moons one, all straight lines, I reckon I can mark and cut it all up in an hour and give it to our maintenance guy to weld up, thinking about how to make the fuel tube detachable as well, should not be too much trouble.
